Hello, Caleb James.
» Is there anything you would rather be called?
"You can call me Caleb or James. Doesn't matter to me. No made up nick names though. Ugh, those are annoying."
» Great, now that we've got that covered. How old are you?
"Seventeen. Turning eighteen in a couple of weeks, actually."
» You know, has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like...?
"Who the hell is Shane West? That guy from Walk to Remember? What the hell? Who said I look like him? I'ma find that guy and show him who looks like Shane West."
» Anything else you wanna tell us before we get started?
"Anything else? Eh, not particularly. I smoke? Oh, well, yeah, I'm straight. You can ask my girlfriend. Not a hater though. I've got some gay friends that I hang out with. "

Let's talk about your personality.
» What are a few of your favorite things?
"I like a bunch of things. I like singing, obviously. It's why I joined the glee club. Even without it, I'd still sing though. That's what I'm really passionate about. I like cars too. Recently traded in my truck for a convertible. Gives me better mileage, and it looks cooler. I like rock music, mostly, and just jamming with my guitar. Oh, and a good night of drinking and smoking. Nothing clears my head better than the right amount of those. Great way to relax, if you ask me."
»That's interesting. Is there anything you absolutely dislike?
"Like I told you earlier, I hate made-up nicknames. They just kinda annoy me, I guess. I'm not a fan of all all those Celine Dion type music. Don't hate em. Just not a fan. I don't like those cold-hearted bitch types. Yeah, I'm talking about someone in particular, but yeah. Anyone who's a total bitch without reason, I just can't stand. Speaking of, I hate cheaters. I will never forgive a cheater. I've gone through stuff, and it's just a deal-breaker for me. No exceptions."
» What are your strengths and weaknesses as a performer?
"Strengths, well I can sing. And I'm pretty damn good at it. You can throw some good rock-vibed music in my direction, and I got it, no problem. Need to work on those pop type vocals though. Oh, and definitely not the best dancer. I mean, I don't fumble around my own feet and I don't look like a robot when I move. I just could be better, especially with all the great dancers in Vocal Adrenaline."
» I see. Do you have any dreams for the future? While you're in VA and beyond?
"Hell yeah. Win Nationals this year and take it back from New Directions. How they even won, I have no idea. After VA? Well, probably start my own band? I don't know yet for sure, but that's definitely in the list."
» Wow, I hope you succeed. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
"Well, what's to tell, really? I'm a teenage guy just living his life. I'm not much of a whiner, like most people in the glee club. In fact, some of them whine so much, I'm surprised they have time for singing. But yeah, not me. I just take things. I don't really do the sharing feelings thing. I'd much rather swim in my own thoughts and think about things that talk about it with other people. Yeah, they say I should learn to open up to others, but that's useless. What point is there to sharing my problems with other people? Especially if it could possibly drag them down. So, yeah, I'm quite secretive about my feelings. Hey, no one who walked around acting all sensitive got the respect I'm showed around here. Of course, respect is a term I use loosely. It's more of fear and annoyance that people around town show me. I often get into trouble, a lot. Not only in school, but especially out of it. Though I do have a sort of system worked out with some of the cops. See? Not everyone in Akron is entirely horrible to me."

So far so good. Now for history.
» So tell me, where are you from? What did you think of it?
"Been here in Akron since forever, so I know a lot of people here. My mom used to make me walk around the place and greet the neighbors so they thought I was this adorable kid. Now I keep hearing whispers when I go to the supermarket or whatever. 'Oh that was young Caleb?', 'His poor mother must be going through hell'. Like what they say matters. Hah, I don't care. People talk. That's just life."
» Do you have any other family? Parents? Siblings? Extended? What do you think about them?
"Well, I told ya bout my mom. Yeah, she's a stay at home mom. My dad works in some computer tech company. I don't exactly know what he does but yeah, it keeps food on the table. I got a brother and a sister, both younger than me, but not too young. They're alright, my family. Kinda annoying most of the time, but I guess it comes with the territory of being family. I love em to death though, especially since they can put up with me."
» Why Vocal Adrenaline? What do you do there? What do you think of it?
"Eh, well, it's coz here in Carmel, it's the only singing club we have? To be honest, it doesn't really matter much to me if I wasn't in VA. The only reason I stick around now is that 1. they've learned to appreciate my talents, especially since St. James is out of the picture, and 2. I've made a bunch of friends here. That's really all it is for me. I'm currently the lead singer, together with Natalie Fieri. It'd be great, if I didn't always have to sing with Fieri. I mean, she's a great singer, but I never could be at ease with her. Not since some of the shit that went down last year. But I try to keep levelheaded and just ignore her most of the time. It's for the team, anyways."
» If you were to sing a solo, what song would you sing?
"A solo? Well, I do sing a lot of those, but if I were to pick, it would definitely not be something from Queen. God, we do Queen a lot. It's actually a bit annoying. I'd probably sing Heat of the Moment by Asia. I just really love that song."
» Well, VA only accepts people with talent. Why don't you show us what you got?Caleb slipped out of practice, a bit tired and extremely annoyed that they were doing chair choreography. They weren't a stool choir, so why did they have to do those annoying steps. He breathed rhythmically, finally escaping the auditorium for a bit. He walked the hallway confidently, glad that it was summer, and there weren't that many people in campus. He immediately stopped in front of a door labeled 'Faculty Lounge'.
He took a peek inside, and after seeing no one inside, casually slipped in the room. Just like he assumed, there wasn't anyone inside. The teachers were either in practice, like that Ryerson was, or teaching summer class, which turned out perfect for Caleb. He made his way towards the espresso machine, punching in a key before waiting for the coffee. He grabbed the mug filled to the brim and headed to one of the couches.
He plopped down on the soft leather seat, shaking his head in disbelief at how much pampering the faculty in Carmel got. Not like they were exceptional teachers or anything. So, why were they rewarded? He lifted his feet, placing them over one of the tables, before taking a sip from the freshly brewed coffee. He figured he had a good fifteen minutes before anyone would notice he slipped out of practice. Plenty of time.
