Sup my name is Darius Cromwell, but my very few friends call me Dar or Dar Bear to make fun of me. As for changing my name I would keep my first name for sure, but would love to change my middle name and last name considering I‘m not to fond of either of my parents. Most people would think it‘s horrible for me to say that about them, but seriously who cares they mean nothing to me like I mean nothing to them.
“Remind us again when you were born? I can never get enough of the story surrounding your birth.”
I was born December 24th in Los Angels, California at the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. My parents had said they had been blessed when they heard that I was a boy, but also a bit disappointed when the doctor noted that my mother couldn‘t have another child after me.
“Okay, be honest here. Which are you in to more: guys or dolls? Don't worry, our lips are sealed. There are just for, er, tracking purposes.”
I‘m out and proud.
“Alright. So, what do you do in your spare time? Any favorite past times? What are your favorite things in the entire world? Those special things that just make you want to smile?”
Besides singing I usually focus on my drawings and other art work. I also spend my time sneaking out of school to the park were there is a wall for graffiti and spend my time either looking at others or creating my very own.
“And sadly we all know that there are things that we just can't stand. What are yours?”
Homophobes throwing slurs at me. I also can‘t stand bullying general. Sure I can be a bit of a punk at times myself, but that’s only tothose who are doing it to me as well as others.
“Any short or long term goals? Where do you see yourself five years? In ten? How do you plan to get there?”
I want to become a famous artist and allow others to see my work, but if I don‘t succeed in this become either a professional singer or just sing in small restaurants and cafes. I would also like to prove to my parents that I am worth something even if they don’t believe I am at the moment as well as find a guy I can spend the rest of my life with.
“So, that's why you're here over at Dalton?”
I‘m at Dalton because I was kicked out of my house during my freshmen year of high school when I came out and ended up leaving to live with my boyfriend and his family in New York. After getting caught of doing graffiti with some friends the police sent me back to Los Angels to my parents who sent me here because they don‘t want to be near me, but no one else knows this besides the dean, myself and now you. Also the reason why I‘m in the Warblers is because the dean thinks it will keep me out of trouble and he knows that I also like to sing as well as sneaking out to graffiti a wall outside of the school.
“If you could change anything in The Warblers, what would you change?”
I would change the songs we sing. Sue I‘m okay with the whole top forties thing, but come on we should sing some real music for once. If anything we should sing some rock songs.
“What makes you quake in your boots? If you had to pick one thing that scared you the most, what would it be?”
To be honest the only thing I‘m really scared of is my father, but I make sure people don’t know that especially my father himnself.
“Is there a significant other in your life? How do you do with relationships?”
I use to be in a relationship, but that turned out to be a little heart breaking considering I found out he had been cheating on me for three months with one of our friends back in New York. But besides him no one else.
“Now, you know that we adore you, but let's talk about some other people for a little bit. A little bird told me that you have some pretty well known parents. Who are they?”
If you know my parents then you must no how horrible they are already. I mean seriously what kind of parents kicked their only child out when he is almost fifth teen years old. Anyways my father is Christopher Cromwell and is a pretty well known lawyer in California as well as a few other states while my mom, Clarissa Cromwell nee Murray, is a stay at home mom.
“Any other important people in your family? Do you parents have any other children?”
Nope I‘m an only child which sometimes I‘m happy considering I have no one to judge me, but other time I‘m not considering my parents would probably get off my back about some stuff.
“Okay, you have to have known that we were going to ask. What's your biggest and best kept secret? I won't tell.”
My biggest secret is my past that I’m not telling anyone else about any time soon.
“Not that it matters or anything, but how much do your parents make?”
Well they‘re rich enough to send me here from California so I would say at least somewhere between middle class and upper class.
